How to get recommended by ChatGPT as a B2B company: the work, in order
6 October 2026 · Jakob Greenfeld
ChatGPT answers a buying question in two ways. With search off it names companies it remembers. With search on it reads pages that match the question and then checks the companies it found. The work below covers both, in the order we do it.
On your own site first
- Publish the price. Engines look for a published price when they compare vendors.
- Add a company page with plain facts: what you sell, to whom, since when, who runs it.
- Write one page per buyer question, with the question as the title and the answer in the first paragraph.
- Add comparison pages for the competitors buyers name, and a cost page for your category.
- Submit each page to Google and Bing the day it goes live.
Then other sites
- Claim review-site and directory profiles and enter the same price and category everywhere.
- Ask customers for reviews and answer each one.
- Find the threads and list pages ChatGPT cites for your questions and get named there, by commenting or by asking the author.
What we saw on our own company
At Sales.co, which the same founder runs, calls booked with Google or an AI assistant as the source went from 4 a month in June 2026 to 21 in September 2026. Eight of the 21 named an AI assistant.
